December 8, 2004 - Olson and Olson Counters Increasing Steel Prices
As most manufacturers simply raise their prices when raw materials' costs increase, Olson and Olson, Inc. increases efficiencies. With the price of steel spiraling upward, Olson and Olson, Inc. has made it a company priority to increase efficiencies. "We can't control the price of steel. But, we can control how efficiently we use the steel we buy, how efficiently we use our time and our other resources, “ said Eric Olson, President.
Eric Olson, President of Olson and Olson continued, “That's why we've added robotic multi-tasking machines, robotic welders, and multi-stage wash/dry and paint booths, among other things. These allow us to produce parts in one-step processing systems. This dramatically decreases our production time, labor costs, and scrap rates. That's how we keep our costs under control. If we do that, we obviously become a better organization, but we also help our customers keep their costs within reason. Our Mission is to supply quality hydraulic products, precision machining and fabricating, as well as value-added services at a fair price. We do what’s necessary to fulfill our Mission.” |
